Life Member Pin / Single

I’ve been a Life Member for just under 20 years, and decided to get a new pin for my jacket lapel. This DAV pin is dark gray, and 1.5 inches long by a half inch high. It’s held in place by two post pins, ensuring that it doesn’t rotate. The colors are relatively dark, particularly the flag, compared to the online photo. All and all, it’s a nice pin. The only reason that I gave it four stars instead o five is that I still have my original pin from my retirement in early 2002. The old pin is round, gold plated with blue enameled panels— very similar to the current Commander and Vice Commander lapel pins. Given that those pins cost ten times as much, I’m not complaining! Recommended.

Though it isn't like the original Life Member pin the DAV sent my dad when he joined, it's a very nice pin. He was given a free membership because he is in his 90's. He sent a donation anyway and received a pin he was proud to wear. It was lost and I had hoped to find another just like it. Alas, I couldn't. But this one is very nice and has two pins to stick it to a collar.
